In this in-office, full-time role, you will lead a high-craft team consisting of 1 to 2 writers and a pool of freelancers to shape the narrative across three channels: HackerRank, Hackonomics, and the CEO's personal voice. A normal day involves writing well-researched long-form pieces, crafting compelling X posts, writing video scripts, and capturing the founder's authentic voice. You will translate technical ideas like agents, assessments, and the economics of AI hiring into engaging content for both engineers and CEOs, setting a high standard for voice, taste, and storytelling without writing by committee.
Responsibilities
- Write well-researched long-form pieces about tech, AI, and engineering culture.
- Draft X posts featuring strong hooks, compelling points, and clear rationales.
- Create engaging video scripts for Hackonomics that capture attention immediately.
- Ghostwrite founder posts that maintain an authentic, non-corporate personal voice.
- Lead a small, senior content team of 1 to 2 writers and freelance contributors.
- Set the bar for voice, taste, and high-craft content creation.
- Utilize AI tools effectively while maintaining editorial judgment and ownership of the voice.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience writing well about tech, dev tools, AI, or engineering culture.
- Strong writing range capable of producing essays, short posts, and video scripts.
- Exceptional editorial taste with the ability to identify details that resonate with developers.
- Proficiency in using AI tools like Claude Code while understanding when to overrule them.
- Ability to work in-office every day at the Bangalore studio location.
