How We Prepare Every Update
Cross-checked details
Key details of every government update are compared across more than one source before a page is published.
Key facts checked
Dates, vacancies, fees, age limits and eligibility are shown in one clear format, with a link to the official website.
Simple, complete guides
Every page explains who can apply, how to apply and what to do next, with a link to the official website.
A Practical Guide for Applicants
How to read a government notice, apply correctly and stay safe.
How to use this portal
Start with the section that matches what you need. Jobs lists open recruitment from central and state bodies, public sector undertakings, banks, courts and government universities. Each row shows the post name, the recruiting department and the last date, so you can see at a glance which forms are closing soon.
Open any update to read a plain-language summary of the official notice: who can apply, how many vacancies there are, the fee, the age limit, the selection process and the steps to apply. The link to the official website or notice PDF is always given on the page, and that official source is the final word.
What each section covers
Jobs covers recruitment notifications. Admit Card covers hall tickets and call letters, with the exam date and the steps to download. Results covers results, merit lists and cut-off marks. Answer Key covers provisional and final keys, along with the window for raising objections.
Exams covers exam dates and schedule changes. Private Jobs lists openings from companies hiring in India, each with a link to the company apply page.
How to check that a notice is genuine
Government recruitment is announced on official websites, usually ending in gov.in or nic.in, and in the Employment News. A genuine notice carries an advertisement number, the name of the issuing office, clear dates and a detailed eligibility section. If any of these is missing, treat the notice with caution.
Always open the official website yourself and look for the same notice in its recruitment or notification section. Do not rely on a forwarded PDF or a screenshot alone. Application fees are paid only on the official portal or through the bank challan described in the notice, never to a person, an agent or a private account.
Before you fill a form
Read the eligibility section fully. Check the cut-off date used for calculating age, the exact qualification required and whether final-year students may apply. Reserved category candidates should keep a valid certificate in the format asked for in the notice, because an old or wrongly formatted certificate is a common reason for rejection.
Keep a scanned photograph and signature ready in the size and format mentioned. Fill the form a few days before the last date, since official websites often slow down on the final day. Note that the last date to submit the form and the last date to pay the fee can be different.
After submitting, save the application number and a copy of the filled form and the fee receipt. You will need them to download the admit card, to check the result and to raise any correction request.
After you apply
Exam bodies usually publish the admit card one to three weeks before the exam. Check the exam centre, reporting time and the documents to carry. After the exam, a provisional answer key is often released with a short window to raise objections, followed by the final key and the result.
Results may come as a list of roll numbers, a scorecard login or a merit list. Read the cut-off and the instructions for the next stage, such as document verification, a skill test or an interview. Dates can change, so it helps to check the official website again close to each stage.
Staying safe from job fraud
No government body asks for money in exchange for a job, an interview call or a place on a merit list. Messages that promise a guaranteed government job, ask for a registration fee on a payment app or direct you to a website that only looks official are warning signs.
When in doubt, call the helpline printed in the official notice or write to the email address given there. You can also report a suspicious offer on the national cyber crime portal or by calling 1930.
Common terms explained
A notification or advertisement is the official document that opens a recruitment. A corrigendum is a correction or change issued after the notification. Cut-off marks are the minimum marks needed to move to the next stage, and they differ by category and by year.
Normalisation is a method used to compare scores fairly when an exam is held in several shifts. Document verification is the stage where original certificates are checked. A domicile certificate proves residence in a state and is often required for state government posts.
Central and state recruitment
Central recruitment is conducted by bodies such as the Union Public Service Commission, the Staff Selection Commission, the Railway Recruitment Boards and the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection, and is generally open to candidates from all states.
State recruitment is conducted by state public service commissions, subordinate selection boards and departments. Many state posts need knowledge of the local language or a domicile certificate, so read the eligibility section carefully before applying outside your home state.
Dates and corrections
Each page shows the dates available at the time of writing. Recruiting bodies sometimes extend a last date, postpone an exam or issue a corrigendum. When that happens the official website is updated first, so please confirm the current dates there before you act.
Updates whose last date has passed are marked closed and taken out of the active lists. If you spot a detail that does not match the official notice, tell us through the contact page with a link to the notice and we will correct it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Rojgar Point an official government website?
No. Rojgar Point is an independent job portal. Every update links to the official notice or website so you can verify details before applying.
How often are updates added?
New government and private jobs are added several times a day, and a page is published only after its key facts are checked.
Do I need to pay to apply through Rojgar Point?
No. Applications are always made on the official website of the recruiting body or company. Browsing and applying is free. Local Jobs contact numbers are free for every logged-in user.
What happens when a last date passes?
The update is marked closed and removed from active listings, so the lists on this site only show opportunities that are still open.
How can I report a wrong detail?
Use the contact page and share the page link along with the official notice. Corrections are usually made within 48 hours.
