As a Mobile Engineer E2 (React Native) at BitGo in India, you will focus on building and scaling cross-platform mobile applications for iOS and Android. BitGo is a digital asset infrastructure company offering services like custody, wallets, staking, trading, and settlement to global financial institutions and millions of investors. In your normal day-to-day work, you will design advanced mobile features using React Native, write clean JavaScript and TypeScript code, and collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers. You will also participate in code reviews, troubleshoot application performance bottlenecks, ensure strong security and encryption standards for sensitive data, and help release reliable updates to the App Store and Google Play while supporting working hours aligned with EST and PST time zones.

Responsibilities

• Design and build advanced applications for iOS and Android using React Native.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while resolving bottlenecks and bugs.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of mobile applications.
• Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
• Work with product managers, designers, and engineers to refine product requirements.
• Provide mentorship to peers in the engineering team through code reviews and best practices.

Requirements

• 4+ years of proven experience in mobile application development using React Native.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, ES6, and TypeScript.
• Familiarity with Swift/Objective-C and Kotlin/Java.
• Solid understanding of React Native architecture, navigation, state management, native modules, and OTA releases.
• Experience with secure storage, authentication, encryption, and secure handling of sensitive data.
• Understanding of UI/UX standards, mobile design principles, and RESTful API design.
• Experience with unit and functional testing, Git/GitHub, and CI tools.
• Ability to support working hours aligned with EST/PST time zones.

Good to have

• Experience with native mobile development on iOS or Android.
• Understanding of and experience working in the financial industry.
• Familiarity with digital wallets, clearing and settlement, lending, trading, or accounting systems.
