As a Senior Backend Engineer for NIRA, you will join the engineering team to help shape the infrastructure and product roadmap. Your normal day will involve scaling the platform to handle higher volumes, supporting multiple financial products, refining credit decision systems, and working closely with local engineering groups as well as broader APAC and global teams, including product, compliance, and analytics departments.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the local NIRA engineering team and the broader APAC engineering team to scale platform capacity.
- Scale the platform to support various financial products and underlying instruments.
- Drive iterations on credit policy and enhance credit decision systems.
- Partner with product, credit/finance, compliance, support, and analytics teams.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional experience.
- Strong experience using Java.
- Demonstrated experience working in AWS-native environments using tools like DynamoDB, Athena, and Lambda.
- Experience with scaled technical solutions and increasing platform scalability.
- Clear communication skills with the ability to articulate technical solutions globally.
- Product engineer mentality with ownership of solutions from start to finish.
