Five9, a prominent provider of cloud contact center software, is seeking a Senior Engineering Intelligence Analyst to join their team in India on a remote basis. As part of this role, you will help develop and evolve the company's engineering intelligence platform, supporting leadership across a portfolio of over one thousand features and a significant engineering investment. A normal day in this position involves designing automated data pipelines, writing Python and SQL scripts, integrating data from sources like Jira and Salesforce, building and migrating interactive dashboards in Looker, setting up alerts for potential delivery risks, and performing ad-hoc analyses on engineering trends and team capacity. Responsibilities
- Build and maintain interactive Looker dashboards covering feature delivery, FTE allocation, and portfolio health.
- Migrate existing HTML dashboards to the enterprise BI platform.
- Build and maintain data pipelines integrating Jira, Jellyfish, Salesforce, and other systems using Python and SQL.
- Implement data quality checks, automated validation, and performance optimization for queries and pipelines.
- Perform ad-hoc analyses on feature delivery trends, cycle time drivers, and engineering investment patterns.
- Support senior leaders by preparing executive-ready analytical insights and reusable templates.
- Document data lineage, calculation methodologies, and dashboard logic for transparency.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, business intelligence, or a related role.
- Strong SQL skills including complex joins, window functions, CTEs, and performance optimization.
- Proficiency in Python for data processing using pandas, requests, and scheduled jobs.
- Hands-on experience with the Looker BI tool for data modeling and dashboard design.
- Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines with REST API data sources.
- Familiarity with Jira and a strong understanding of software delivery lifecycles and Agile methodologies.
- Strong data visualization skills with a focus on storytelling and clarity.

- Experience with Jira APIs, Jira Structure, and the Atlassian ecosystem at scale.
- Familiarity with Jellyfish or similar engineering management platforms.
- Experience with Salesforce data extraction using SOQL or reports API.
- Cloud data platform experience with BigQuery.
- Exposure to engineering metrics such as DORA, velocity, cycle time, and throughput.
