AI Product Manager - India
About this job
Dscout is building a flexible and powerful UX research platform used by top global brands in tech, finance, healthcare, and consumer goods to understand the humans behind their products. As an AI Product Manager, you will lead the strategy and roadmap for AI-native features where the underlying non-deterministic models require careful handling of quality distributions and failure tails. A normal day in this role involves prototyping product ideas yourself using different LLMs, defining evaluation sets, partnering with engineering and design on technical and UX architecture, and deciding the level of agent autonomy. You will treat prompting and context design as direct product levers, track non-deterministic metrics like latency and accuracy distributions, and collaborate with Go-To-Market teams during releases. By joining the Dscout team, you help shape cutting-edge research technology that powers meaningful product development.
Responsibilities
- Lead the roadmap and strategy for your product area from problem discovery to post-launch iteration.
- Define evaluation sets, identify failure modes, and establish rollback plans for model-powered surfaces.
- Prototype product ideas directly and ship small, production-quality AI features yourself.
- Make product decisions regarding agent autonomy and human-in-the-loop boundaries.
- Partner with engineers, designers, and researchers on technical architecture and intuitive UX.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to shape GTM messaging and training.
- Track non-deterministic metrics such as quality distribution, latency, and cost-per-task.
Requirements
- 2 to 5 years of product management experience owning a roadmap end-to-end.
- Direct experience shipping AI and LLM-powered features in production with ownership over evaluation and quality.
- Hands-on understanding of what different LLMs are good and bad at to prototype against.
- Real technical depth to reason about tradeoffs like model choice, latency, and cost with engineers.
- Comfort defining and reasoning about eval sets and failure modes as non-deterministic properties.
- Experience partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success.
- High ownership mindset focused on outcomes rather than deliverables.
Good to have
- Experience with LLM observability and evaluation tooling like Braintrust or LangSmith.
- Background in a technical role such as engineering or data science prior to product management.
- Experience in B2B markets, ideally adjacent to UX research, insights, or feedback.
- Familiarity with building through fast prototypes and spikes that get hardened directly into products.
- Experience shipping features within strict privacy, security, and compliance constraints.
Who should apply
This role suits product managers with solid hands-on experience building and evaluating production-grade LLM features and non-deterministic systems. Candidates should possess a strong technical background, a high ownership mindset, and familiarity living inside AI tools to build personal agents or automated workflows. If you excel at balancing technical architecture tradeoffs with user experience and cross-functional GTM collaboration, you will thrive here. The posting does not state that freshers can apply, as 2 to 5 years of product management experience is required.
