Welocalize is hiring a Lead SDET to provide end-to-end technical governance for a multi-layered onboarding platform across frontend, middleware, and backend testing layers. As part of a global AI data company that builds smarter AI through human contribution, the team focuses on ethical data and AI systems. In this role, you will own API contract testing architecture and complex entity relationship data modeling. You will ensure that quality assumptions are independently verified at every downstream layer rather than trusted blindly. A normal day involves setting and enforcing delivery governance, reviewing frontend constraint dictionaries and API schema reconstructions, coordinating with QA professionals, resolving dependencies, compiling technical evidence dossiers, and reporting on delivery health and technical risks. This is a four-month contract position located in India with potential for full-time extension based on performance.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical governance across frontend, middleware, and backend testing layers
- Establish and enforce QA delivery standards, review processes, and quality gates
- Review frontend constraint dictionaries, state models, and API schema reconstructions
- Coordinate with QA Analysts and SDETs to align technical execution with timelines
- Act as the escalation point for cross-layer technical discrepancies and evidence issues
- Compile and quality-check raw technical evidence dossiers before client handoff
- Report on delivery health, technical risks, dependencies, and unresolved gaps
Requirements
- Proven experience of 8+ years in a QA leadership role spanning multiple testing layers
- Demonstrated expertise in API contract testing architecture and governance
- Practical experience with knowledge graph or entity-relationship data modeling
- Strong understanding of layered system architectures and independent quality verification
- Strong track record of technical delivery governance and quality gates
- Excellent cross-functional leadership and stakeholder communication skills
- Deep technical grounding across manual, automation, and systems-level testing

- Experience leading complex technical QA or API validation engagements
- Experience establishing evidence and traceability models across technical workflows
- Familiarity with knowledge graphs and structured technical dependency modeling
