FCD Test Lead - Regulatory Reporting (Finrep)

As a Test Lead for FCD Regulatory Reporting (Finrep) based in India, you will lead a data validation and testing team across multiple value streams. Your main objective involves managing team members, building and reviewing test cases, conducting end-to-end testing, and securing necessary sign-offs. A normal day in this role requires you to operate in a fast-paced environment by assessing priorities, tracking progress, driving risk mitigation strategies, and reporting implementation progress to senior management. You will collaborate closely with IT, external vendors, program workstreams, and the FINREP data lead to ensure successful data issue remediation and alignment with regulatory expectations while maintaining high documentation standards and governance throughout project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead the data validation and testing team in defining and executing test strategies for data issues.
• Manage team members across multiple value streams to build, review, and approve test cases.
• Drive risk mitigation strategies, contingency planning, and business readiness assessments.
• Report implementation progress, risks, and issues to senior management and governance forums.
• Collaborate with IT, external vendors, and program workstreams to meet business and regulatory expectations.
• Define and implement comprehensive testing strategies, plans, and frameworks for FINREP data projects.
• Maintain oversight on testing, sign-offs, and audit deliverables for internal and external control compliance.

Requirements

• Proven management track record in dynamic environments with diverse teams locally and globally.
• Experience in delivering change within a services environment with an appreciation of regulatory and compliance imperatives.
• Strong management, decision-making, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to define a test approach, scenarios, and test cases for regulatory systems and applications.
• Understanding of HSBC data.
• Exposure to data sourcing, ETL processes, and conformance/common data layers.
