As a Senior Software Engineer at OpenGov in Pune, you will build top-tier SaaS solutions that enhance efficiency and transparency for government agencies. Your daily work involves collaborating across teams in a fast-paced, agile setting to develop and ship new features, using modern technologies like ReactJS, TypeScript, GraphQL, and NodeJS. You will generate clean code, troubleshoot issues, guide technical decisions, mentor junior engineers, and push the frontier of AI-driven software development while staying aligned with customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across the organization to turn business priorities into shipped features.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented software following industry standards.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance for scalable SaaS applications.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical problems.
• Mentor junior software engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in developing highly scalable cloud-native applications.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, ReactJS, and NodeJS.
• Proficiency with event-driven architecture, API integration, and GraphQL.
• Deep experience building applications on Azure or AWS using CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Experience building applications using Grafana for observability and performance monitoring.
• Experience working across the stack and shipping end-to-end features.
• BA/BS in a computer science-related field or equivalent experience.

Good to have

• Prior experience working directly with customers to improve product experiences.
• Experience building with AI-driven UX, agents, and workflow automation.
• Familiarity with thriving in fast-paced, high-growth, ambiguous environments.
