As a Software Engineer II at OpenGov in Pune, India, you will build best-in-class SaaS solutions that enable efficiency, transparency, and accountability within government agencies. OpenGov is the leader in AI and ERP solutions for local and state governments, providing category-leading products such as enterprise asset management, procurement, accounting, and budgeting. In your day-to-day work, you will collaborate across the organization to deliver new features and improvements in a fast-paced, agile environment, utilizing modern technologies such as ReactJS, Typescript, GraphQL, and NodeJS within an AI-first engineering culture. You will write clean code, conduct code reviews, test and deploy software with minimal supervision, troubleshoot technical issues, and work across the full stack to ship features end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across the organization to translate business priorities into shipped features.
• Generate clean, efficient, and well-documented software following industry best practices.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and provide feedback for human and AI-generated code.
• Develop, test, and deploy high-quality software with minimum supervision.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation.

Requirements

• Experience of 3 to 5 years.
• Experience gathering and incorporating feedback to improve product quality and usability.
• Experience working across the stack (frontend + backend) and shipping features end-to-end.
• Experience building with AI-driven UX, agents, and workflow automation.
• BA/BS in a computer-science-related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, ambiguous environment.
