Educational Qualifications and Age Limits

Applicants must possess the requisite educational qualifications as of the closing date, 12.10.2026:

• Engineering Officer Gr. 1: First Class Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology in the relevant branch with a valid GATE score of 2024, 2025, or 2026. Upper age limit is 30 years.
• Engineering Assistant: First Class 3-year Diploma in Engineering or Technology with 5 years of relevant experience. Upper age limit is 35 years.
• Scientific Assistant: First Class B.Sc. in Chemistry with 5 years of experience. Upper age limit is 35 years.
• Technician Gr. 1: ITI Trade Certificate in the relevant trade. Upper age limit is 28 years.
• Technical Attendant Gr. 1: Matriculation or equivalent pass. Upper age limit is 30 years.
• Assistant Gr. II: First Class Bachelor's degree (BA/BSc/BCom/BBA/BBM/BCA) and minimum Grade-B certificate in Basic Computer Course (BCC) from NIELIT. Upper age limit is 30 years.
• MTS Gr. 1: Matriculation or equivalent pass with reservation for Ex-servicemen. Upper age limit is 25 years.

Application Fee

The application fee varies depending on the applied post:

• Engineering Officer Gr. 1, Scientific Assistant, Engineering Assistant: Rs. 1000/- per post.
• Technician Gr. 1, Assistant Gr. II, Technical Attendant Grade 1: Rs. 700/- per post.
• SC, ST, PwBD, Ex-servicemen, and women candidates are completely exempted from fee payment.

Selection Procedure

The selection process differs by post:

• Engineering Officer: Based on valid GATE scores.
• Engineering Assistant & Scientific Assistant: Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by a job-specific practical skill test.
• Technician Gr. 1: Performance in CBT and qualifying a Trade Test.
• Technical Attendant Gr. 1 & Assistant Gr. II: Performance in CBT.
• MTS Gr. 1: CBT and Trade/Proficiency Test.
