CSIR - National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), Pune, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, has announced the recruitment of Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) for the year 2026. Interested and eligible Indian nationals can submit their applications online. Candidates are strongly advised to complete their submissions well before the closing date.

Vacancies and Distribution

A total of 24 vacancies are available for the Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) post. The category-wise distribution of posts includes 11 vacancies for Unreserved (UR), 07 for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), 02 for SC, 01 for ST, and 03 for EWS categories. Out of these total posts, 01 post is specifically reserved for the PwBD (HH) category.

Eligibility Criteria and Qualifications

To be eligible for the Multi-Tasking Staff post, candidates must possess a minimum educational qualification of SSC, 10th, or Matriculation (or equivalent) from a recognized board. An intermediate or 12th class pass is listed as a desirable qualification.

The upper age limit for applicants is 25 years as on the last date of application submission, which is 04.11.2026. Age relaxations are applicable for reserved categories such as SC, ST, OBC, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, and eligible women candidates in accordance with Government of India guidelines.

Application Fee

Applicants belonging to the General, OBC, and EWS categories are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 500. Candidates belonging to Women, SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen categories are completely exempted from paying any application fee. Fee payments can be made online through various available digital modes including debit cards, credit cards, net banking, UPI, and wallets, or via SBI branch payment.

Selection Process and Pay Scale

Selected candidates for the Multi-Tasking Staff position will be appointed under Pay Level 1 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix, with a pay scale ranging from Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 56,900. The approximate total emoluments will be around Rs. 40,000 per month, which includes applicable allowances like HRA in Class 'X' City.
