Sauce Labs, the organization behind Selenium and a major test automation platform, is hiring an AI Architect for its engineering team in Gurugram, India. The company specializes in turning business intent into autonomous testing and quality assurance using a large proprietary dataset. In this strategic role, the AI Architect will design and build next-generation artificial intelligence features for the continuous testing platform. A normal day in this position involves creating scalable AI and machine learning solutions, working with cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform and Gemini Flash models, collaborating with data engineering and product management teams, and providing technical leadership to fellow engineers to enhance software quality and automated failure analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of AI and machine learning solutions for new product offerings in a cloud-native environment.
• Architect AI systems to derive actionable insights from test run logs, analytics data, and production environments.
• Develop architectures that combine insights from test runs and production data for holistic application quality views.
• Build AI models to automatically identify test failures, diagnose root causes, and suggest fixes or optimizations.
• Design AI-driven capabilities for intelligent test case generation to improve coverage and efficiency.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to optimize data pipelines from sources like Snowflake and Google BigQuery.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and governance to engineering teams deploying AI solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in software development and architecture of production-grade systems.
• Extensive experience in designing, building, and deploying large-scale AI/ML systems in production.
• Deep hands-on expertise with Google Cloud Platform services relevant to AI and machine learning.
• Practical experience with large language models, particularly Gemini Flash, prompt engineering, and agent orchestration.
• Strong background in working with large datasets, data warehousing, and analytics platforms like Snowflake and BigQuery.
• Solid understanding of software development best practices, scalable system design, and microservices architectures.

Good to have

• Experience with MLOps practices and tools for managing the machine learning lifecycle.
• Contributions to open-source AI/ML projects or relevant publications.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field.
• Familiarity with software testing, quality assurance, DevOps, or application performance monitoring.
