As the Manager, Revenue Accounting at Commure in Gurugram, India, you will lead the charge in rebuilding and modernizing revenue accounting and deal operations from the ground up for a fast-growing healthcare technology business. Your normal day involves establishing brand-new deal desk functions, creating process playbooks, partnering with cross-functional teams like Sales and Legal, researching complex accounting matters, and collaborating on monthly closes, reconciliations, and audit support. Commure is a company transforming healthcare through an AI-native platform that automates patient workflows and revenue processes, and this role gives you real influence in adopting emerging AI and automation tools to shape public-company readiness.

Responsibilities

• Transform the revenue accounting lifecycle from contract review through revenue recognition for scalability and automation.
• Lead technical accounting assessments and prepare memos under ASC 606 for complex contracts and multi-element arrangements.
• Establish, maintain, and enhance revenue recognition policies across a diversifying product portfolio.
• Evaluate and implement revenue automation solutions and AI-enabled finance tools to reduce manual effort.
• Collaborate on monthly and quarterly close activities, journal entries, deferred revenue analysis, and account reconciliations.
• Support external financial audits and develop scalable, SOX-compliant processes for audit readiness and IPO preparation.
• Partner with FP&A by providing accurate accounting inputs for revenue forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.

Requirements

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 3 years in Revenue Recognition, Revenue Accounting, or Technical Accounting.
• Strong expertise in US GAAP and ASC 606 with the ability to independently interpret guidance.
• Experience reviewing complex customer contracts, non-standard commercial terms, and performance obligations.
• Hands-on experience managing revenue accounting activities including contract assessments and month-end close.
• Experience preparing technical accounting memos and documenting accounting judgments.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, and revenue automation tools.

Good to have

• CPA or CA certification.
• Interest in AI-enabled finance technology.
• Experience supporting external financial audits and maintaining SOX-compliant processes.
• Experience working with US-based businesses, customers, or Finance teams and applying US GAAP.
