WorldQuant is looking for an Analyst to join its Portfolio and Treasury Services team in Mumbai. WorldQuant develops and deploys systematic financial strategies across global markets and asset classes, using a proprietary research platform to produce predictive signals and financial strategies. In this role, your daily routine involves handling daily operations and related tasks, providing level one operational support to portfolio managers and front office teams, conducting regional start-of-day checks, managing exceptions and alerts, and resolving trading outages quickly. You will also handle reconciliations of global activity, manage breaks with counterparties, and work flexibly in night shifts.
Responsibilities
- Provide level 1 operational support to front office teams and portfolio managers
- Conduct start-of-day checks across each region
- Manage exceptions and operational workflow alerts
- Resolve trading outages quickly to ensure minimum system downtime
- Escalate issues to team leads and engage stakeholders to refine workflows
- Reconcile global activity and handle breaks with counterparties
Requirements
- Degree in finance or another business-related discipline
- Prior work experience of 1 to 3 years
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail
- Mature and thoughtful approach to operating in a collaborative team culture
- Flexibility to work in night shifts
Good to have
- Reasonable proficiency in SQL
- Reasonable proficiency in UNIX
- Exposure to asset classes like Equity, Futures, FX, and Derivatives
