Are you ready to shape the future of mobile finance? BJAK is looking for an Android Software Engineer to build the native Android experience for their AI Finance Agent. Since 2019, BJAK has grown into a leading mobile-first platform in Southeast Asia, helping millions plan, save, and grow their money through accessible insurance and financial services. In this role, you will help expand these efforts by developing innovative financial applications for the Indian market. A normal day involves designing clean mobile user flows, collaborating with product and design teams, integrating backend APIs, and improving app performance. You will utilize modern tools like Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Coroutines to create reliable, fast, and secure mobile features that make complex financial tasks feel simple for real customers.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship Android features using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Create clean mobile flows for insurance, payments, claims, and financial services.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to simplify user journeys.
• Integrate backend APIs for stable, secure, and reliable mobile flows.
• Improve app performance, reduce crash rates, and optimize memory usage.
• Use analytics and user behavior insights to enhance the product.

Requirements

• 3+ years of Android development experience using Kotlin.
• Strong Android fundamentals with experience shipping production apps.
• Good knowledge of Jetpack, Coroutines, Flow, and modern Android architecture.
• Strong sense of mobile UX, usability, and user flows.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and debugging production issues.
• High ownership, fast execution, and strong attention to product quality.
• Strong English communication skills.

Good to have

• App links, GitHub, screenshots, or examples of shipped work.
• Experience with SQL or NoSQL.
• Familiarity with TensorFlow Lite for on-device inference.
