Zinnia is seeking a Manager - Financial Reporting to join their team. Zinnia is a leading technology platform focused on accelerating life and annuities growth by offering innovative enterprise solutions and data insights that simplify buying, selling, and administering insurance products. In this role, your normal day will involve preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, performing data reconciliations across various internal systems, handling consolidations, and managing equity rollforwards and capitalization tables. You will also partner closely with FP&A for investor and leadership reporting, collaborate with different departments to gather footnote information, review P&L coding, and manage open audit requests and annual GAAP checklists to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare month, quarter, and year-end financial statements and cash flows.
- Partner with FP&A for period-end investor and leadership reporting.
- Perform financial data reconciliations and handle consolidations.
- Maintain equity rollforward and capitalization tables for investors.
- Collaborate with departments to collect data for financial footnotes.
- Track open audit requests and assist with annual GAAP checklists.
- Review P&L coding and prepare year-end going concern analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- CPA designation with Big 4 experience
- 8-10 years of public and/or private accounting experience
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
