HRT uses a scientific approach to financial trading, operating one of the world's most advanced computing environments. In this role, you will help design, build, and maintain solutions that protect HRT's global infrastructure, systems, and data, while also harnessing AI tools to solve cutting-edge security problems. A normal day involves hands-on cybersecurity operations like threat hunting, detection engineering, and incident response, alongside regional regulatory compliance and governance responsibilities where you serve as HRT's Designated Officer in India. This is a senior-level, hands-on individual contributor role that does not involve people management, allowing you to independently own technical security work and collaborate with global teams.

- Maintain the security detection and response program to protect company data from internal and external threats
- Hunt for, detect, and respond to malicious activity and anomalous events across devices and networks
- Conduct cyber threat intelligence research, adversary emulation, and purple teaming exercises
- Investigate security events, support incident response, and participate in a scheduled on-call rotation
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in security engineering
- Experience with red teaming and penetration testing tools and techniques
- Firm grasp of emerging AI security threats and mitigating controls
- Experience using log analysis platforms such as ELK and Splunk
- Experience building, deploying, and supporting automated systems using Python
- Strong security fundamentals and experience working with Linux systems and command-line tools
- Experience supporting security governance, risk, compliance, or regulatory requirements
- Experience collaborating across technical and non-technical teams with strong communication skills
Good to have
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, and SEBI CSCRF
- Experience working independently in heavily regulated industries
Who should apply
This role suits experienced cybersecurity professionals who have a strong background in both operational security and regulatory compliance.
