Everbridge is looking for a Senior Python, Cloud Infrastructure & AI Engineer in India for a Full Time position. In this role, you will build and maintain scalable, reliable, and cloud-native software systems with a primary focus on backend engineering. Everbridge empowers enterprises and government organizations to anticipate, mitigate, respond to, and recover from critical events using Critical Event Management technology. On a normal day, you will design backend services, build APIs and AWS Lambda functions, manage Linux and AWS cloud services, maintain infrastructure automation and Jenkins-based CI/CD pipelines, and use AI-powered development tools to accelerate delivery, refactor code, and improve software quality while collaborating closely with frontend, product, QA, and platform engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using Python, Django, and Django REST Framework.
• Build APIs, background workers, integrations, and AWS Lambda functions.
• Manage AWS services, Linux environments, application servers, and deployments.
• Maintain infrastructure automation using SaltStack, Packer, Docker, and Serverless Framework.
• Build and improve Jenkins-based CI/CD and release pipelines.
• Improve system reliability through monitoring, canary deployments, rollback, retry, and recovery practices.
• Use AI tools for code analysis, development, refactoring, troubleshooting, and documentation.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in Python, Django, and Django REST Framework.
• Hands-on AWS experience, particularly with Lambda and event-driven services.
• Experience managing Linux-based application environments.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD, Jenkins, Docker, deployment automation, and production support.
• Experience with SaltStack or a similar configuration-management tool.
• Practical experience with AI coding assistants, LLMs, or AI-enabled engineering workflows.

Good to have

• Python 2-to-3 upgrades and dependency management.
• Ubuntu or Amazon Linux, Packer, AMIs, Gunicorn, Nginx, Apache, or systemd.
• AWS services such as S3, SQS, SNS, SES, Kinesis, IAM, Route 53, and CloudFront.
• Secure development, secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and production observability.
• Supporting high-availability or business-critical systems.
