You will proactively identify and resolve system availability and performance issues while maintaining robust system security. Additionally, your day-to-day duties will include creating and maintaining encryption and replication strategies across different database environments, following and refining team processes, and utilizing your expertise in Postgres and database management tools to support the company's large-scale payment infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Seven or more years of direct experience working as a Postgres Database Administrator
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or relevant experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with automation and configuration management tools
• Experience with performance tuning utilizing indexes, disk and query optimizations
• Experience with database replication and failover mechanisms
• Experience with encryption methodologies for databases
• Experience with database clustering techniques
