As a Senior Finance Analyst at Bottomline, you will join the Global Finance Team to act as a strategic business partner, shaping the financial future of the company. In this role, you will be embedded in the nerve center of financial planning and performance reporting. A normal day involves delivering actionable insights on business drivers, leading budgeting and forecasting, building financial models, preparing executive-level presentations for senior leadership, and driving process improvements through technology, automation, and data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted finance partner to FP&A Partners and leadership teams to support strategic decisions.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and monthly performance reporting with variance analysis.
• Prepare executive-level presentations and business reviews translating complex data into clear insights.
• Build and maintain models for revenue, expenses, headcount, and scenario planning.
• Perform structured and ad hoc analyses to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
• Translate financial and operational data into clear narratives for finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Drive continuous process improvement by leveraging technology, automation, data analytics, and AI capabilities.

Requirements

• Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA in Finance from a top-tier institution.
• 3-5 years of progressive experience in FP&A, ideally in the software or payments industry.
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, consolidation, variance analysis, and financial modelling.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong grounding in accounting fundamentals, scenario planning, and forecasting.
• Proficiency in tools such as Snowflake, Alteryx, Power BI, and advanced Excel.
• Experience with Adaptive Planning or similar planning and budgeting tools.

Good to have

• Basics of Python programming skillset.
• Reasonable understanding of SaaS metrics, financial KPIs, and technology-driven business models.
