As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will act as a subject matter expert and technical problem solver within this dynamic team. A normal day in this role involves managing live production applications, architecting deployment automation, driving AI-driven automation improvements, mentoring junior team members, and collaborating closely with R&D, Support, and Security teams to ensure high availability, scalability, and security for critical financial systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of live production applications for high-profile customers.
- Architect and enhance deployment automation, monitoring, logging, and alerting infrastructure.
- Identify and implement AI-driven automation opportunities across DevOps, observability, and incident management.
- Serve as a technical mentor to guide junior engineers, review code, and unblock complex technical challenges.
- Evaluate and introduce emerging DevOps tools, frameworks, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with R&D, Support, and Security teams to deliver end-to-end solutions and resolve operational issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or similar production-grade roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, Kustomize, Helm, and Argo CD.
- Proficiency with at least one programming or scripting language such as Python or Bash.
- Advanced experience with SQL and relational databases like PostgreSQL or Oracle.
- Expertise in Linux-based operating systems and systems administration.
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code and configuration management tools such as Puppet, Ansible, or Terraform.
Good to have
- Experience building AI agents, workflows, or automation for DevOps and operational tasks.
- Experience designing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- Hands-on experience with search and analytics platforms like Elasticsearch or OpenSearch Stack.
- In-depth knowledge of observability stacks including Prometheus, Grafana, and Alertmanager.
