As a Senior Cloud Architect Engineer at WPP, you will join the Global Technical Operations team to support operational reliability across a cloud infrastructure. WPP serves as a growth partner for top global brands, combining media intelligence, data solutions, creativity, production, and enterprise solutions through its platform, WPP Open. In this role, your daily routine involves building and managing cloud databases, compute instances, and storage buckets, while focusing heavily on automation. You will collaborate with cross-functional groups, research emerging technologies, and improve operational practices. Your day-to-day work also includes troubleshooting technical issues, writing documentation, communicating solutions to various stakeholders, participating in an on-call rotation, and handling multiple projects simultaneously within a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build solutions and improve workflow efficiency.
• Research and integrate new technologies and concepts into existing frameworks.
• Create and update operational procedures, documentation, and IT security best practices.
• Automate tasks to improve deployment speed and consistency.
• Analyze and troubleshoot issues to drive timely resolutions.
• Provide technical leadership and act as a liaison between TechOps and other groups.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and manage multiple concurrent tasks.

Requirements

• 10+ years of recent hands-on experience as a Cloud Engineer, DevOps, or SRE in GCP.
• Experience automating tasks using infrastructure coding tools like Terraform, Open Tofu, or Terragrunt.
• Experience architecting GCP Tenants, folder structures, and Infrastructure CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with configuration management tools, with a preference for Ansible.
• Experience managing container platforms including Kubernetes and Helm.
• Understanding of networking and security concepts.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog and Stackdriver, plus at least one scripting language like Go, Python, or Bash.
