WPP, a trusted growth partner for leading global brands, is seeking a Senior Credit Controller (Collection) for its team in Mumbai. In this role, you will manage a client cash collection portfolio within the Media and Non-Media Credit Collections Team. WPP unites cutting-edge media intelligence, data solutions, and world-class creativity to help clients capture opportunities. A normal day involves contacting clients via telephone, email, or credit management software to secure payments according to contracted terms, maintaining communication records, resolving client queries, reconciling accounts, and collaborating internally with billing teams. You will also participate in cash planning, review daily bank statements, and ensure compliance with group credit policies and SOX control processes while working toward individual and team targets.
Responsibilities
- Manage an allocated client portfolio to ensure payment to contracted terms.
- Contact clients via credit management software, emails, and telephone regarding debts owed.
- Resolve client queries, copy invoices, proof of delivery, and credit notes.
- Reconcile client accounts and ledgers and report client queries accurately.
- Review daily bank statements and allocate received cash accurately on the day of receipt.
- Participate in cash planning, forecasting, and weekly debtors review meetings.
- Prepare weekly reports and monthly recommendations of doubtful debt to the line manager.
Requirements
- Graduate or Post Graduate qualification.
- 6 to 12 years of B2B Credit Collections experience within a multinational organization.
- Collection exposure to international clients is a must.
- Proficiency in Excel and Word.
- Strong communication skills for negotiation and reconciliation.
- Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and work in a night shift starting at 6:30 PM.
- Location: Vikhroli, Mumbai with work-from-office requirement.
