The team helps clients navigate change through expert strategic counsel, cutting-edge solutions, and exceptional talent. In this role, your primary focus is facilitating the statutory audit process by supplying financial data, documentation, and support to external auditors to ensure compliance and a timely audit. A typical day involves preparing financial statements, ledgers, and schedules, acting as the main contact point for the external audit team, addressing audit queries, verifying compliance with accounting standards, and coordinating with internal departments like R2R, Billing, Collection, Accounts Payable, Payments, HR, and Payroll to gather information. You will also help review draft audit reports and support the assessment of internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and provide timely access to financial statements, ledgers, bank statements, and supporting vouchers.
• Generate specific schedules like fixed assets, debtors, creditors, and provisions as requested by auditors.
• Act as the primary point of contact for the external audit team and address queries promptly.
• Assist in verifying compliance with applicable accounting standards and legal regulations.
• Support the assessment of internal controls and risk areas identified by auditors.
• Help prepare management representation letters and review draft audit reports for accuracy.
• Liaise with internal departments such as R2R, Billing, Payroll, and HR to gather necessary audit information.

Requirements

• Chartered Accountant qualification
• 2 to 4 years of post-qualification experience
• Strong understanding of accounting principles including GAAP and Ind AS
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure during audit periods
