As a Senior Frontend Engineer at Weave, you will join a talented engineering team focused on distributed systems and scalability. Your primary mission is to help bring local companies closer to the people they serve through your technical work. You will operate within autonomous, cross-functional agile teams consisting of a product manager, back-end engineers, and front-end engineers. In a normal day, you will build desktop client features using web technologies like TypeScript, React, HTML, and CSS while contributing to the underlying platform. You will also communicate and coordinate with other teams, maintain long-term code quality, and collaborate in a high-trust environment to impact how customers experience Weave.

Responsibilities

• Build features for Weave's desktop clients using TypeScript, React, HTML, and CSS
• Contribute to the underlying platform and libraries
• Communicate with other teams and individuals to coordinate work efforts
• Maintain long-term code quality for all written and maintained code

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience developing rich applications using TypeScript, JavaScript, and web technologies
• 3+ years of experience with modern web application frameworks such as React, Angular, or Ember
• Experience building high-performance, reusable code like UI components
• Experience with consuming RESTful APIs
• Experience with debugging

Good to have

• Experience with performance tuning, benchmarking, and idiomatic TypeScript
• Experience with React, Redux, and NW.js or Electron
• Familiarity with Sentry, Storybook, and web platform trends
• Testing experience with Jest and Cypress.io
