At OakNorth, the SVP - Technology Assurance position plays a pivotal role in maintaining a secure and controlled technology environment in Gurugram. OakNorth is dedicated to empowering ambitious businesses and communities by supporting economic growth through financial services. The Technology Assurance team operates within the Assurance Centre of Excellence to deliver rigorous risk-based assessments across digital products, cloud platforms, and core infrastructure. On a typical day, the individual in this role will lead complex technology reviews from planning to reporting, guide strategic assurance coverage, collaborate with the CTO and senior engineering leaders, mentor team members, and address emerging risks related to cloud adoption, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Manage the forward-looking strategy and delivery plan for Technology Assurance.
• Execute complex end-to-end technology reviews and risk assessments.
• Formulate assurance approaches for cloud architectures and security governance.
• Support US operations by addressing cyber regulations like NYDFS Part 500.
• Shape risk evaluation frameworks for artificial intelligence and emerging tech.
• Partner with and constructively challenge CTO and technology leadership.
• Mentor team members and improve overall technical assessment capabilities.

Requirements

• 15+ years of Technology Audit or Assurance experience in regulated finance.
• Deep expertise in cybersecurity, infrastructure, IAM, and resilience.
• Strong background in cloud assurance and modern cloud architectures.
• Familiarity with US technology and cyber regulations like NYDFS 23 NYCRR Part 500.
• Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant professional certification such as CISA, CISSP, or CIA.

Good to have

• Exposure to second line risk frameworks like RCSA and control testing.
• Experience working in a high-growth or scale-up banking environment.
