As an Advisory Solutions Architect at MongoDB in Mumbai, you will join the Pre-Sales organization to help ground company growth through strong technical alignment with the data platform and customer needs. MongoDB provides a modern, cloud-native, and globally distributed data platform that empowers builders to innovate, modernize legacy workloads, and embrace AI. Your team comprises seasoned technical sales professionals, software architects, entrepreneurs, and developers dedicated to ensuring customer success in software design, deployment, and operations. On a normal day, you will work closely with sales executives on complex opportunities, guiding clients from startups to large enterprises to build reliable and scalable systems using MongoDB. Responsibilities include designing architectures, articulating business value, partnering on sales strategies, driving demand generation, fostering customer success, and mentoring team members.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable and performant applications and infrastructure leveraging MongoDB.
• Guide customers on architecture patterns, optimization strategies, and the business value of MongoDB.
• Collaborate with sales teams on account planning, pipeline generation, and technical aspects of deals.
• Proactively generate demand through self-driven technical initiatives and participation in industry events.
• Foster strong customer relationships to ensure high satisfaction and build platform champions.
• Innovate MongoDB solutions by relaying field feedback to product teams and mentoring peers.
• Engage in ongoing training to stay updated on the MongoDB product suite and industry trends.

Requirements

• 12+ years of related experience in a customer facing role, with minimum 7 years of pre-sales experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with modern scripting or popular programming languages in a professional capacity.
• Experience designing with scalable and highly available distributed systems in the cloud and on-prem.
• Ability to review complex existing application architectures and provide guidance on improvements.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills for technical and business leadership.
• Experience presenting at industry conferences or publishing articles and blog posts.
• Understanding of popular sales methodologies and frameworks such as MEDDPICC.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Good to have

• Experience with database programming and data models.
• Experience in data engineering or AI/ML projects.
• Experience in transforming legacy systems into modern technology stacks.
• Experience in SRE practices and holding a MongoDB or Cloud Provider Certification.
