As an Associate Collections Specialist at LaunchDarkly in India, you will play a key role in managing customer accounts and ensuring smooth financial operations. LaunchDarkly is a platform that helps developers innovate quickly and safely by improving software release velocity, stability, and feature targeting, freeing them from inefficient development cycles and costly outages. In this role, your daily tasks involve ensuring customer invoices are accepted, resolving billing disputes, tracking down past-due payments via phone and email, and handling cash applications and reconciliations using NetSuite. You will work independently to prioritize multiple tasks, maintain accurate records of collection activities, and collaborate with internal teams like Sales and Customer Success to clear payment roadblocks. Your efforts directly contribute to reducing days sales outstanding and keeping financial workflows on track in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned customer accounts and follow up on past-due invoices via phone and email.
• Apply incoming customer payments to correct invoices and accounts in NetSuite.
• Perform cash and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy for payments and credits.
• Resolve customer billing disputes and discrepancies efficiently as the primary point of contact.
• Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Billing teams to investigate issues affecting timely payments.
• Prepare regular aging and collections status reports for management.
• Support month-end and quarter-end accounts receivable close activities.

Requirements

• 2 to 3 years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or a related finance role.
• Working knowledge of NetSuite, including cash application and account reconciliation functionality.
• Demonstrated history of improving collections outcomes such as reduced DSO or aged receivables.
• Strong ability to work independently and prioritize a high volume of accounts.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills for resolving customer issues.
• Strong attention to detail and comfort working with financial data.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Good to have

• Experience working in a B2B or SaaS environment.
• Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM tools.
• Exposure to credit review or basic revenue/AR accounting principles.
