Senior International Accountant

LaunchDarkly, a platform that helps developers innovate new features faster and escape slow development cycles, is looking for a Senior International Accountant in India. In this full-time role, you will manage and coordinate international accounting, reporting, and compliance activities for subsidiaries in EMEA, Australia, and India. You will partner closely with accounting, payroll, tax, and external firms to ensure accurate monthly reporting and statutory compliance. A normal day involves overseeing the international month-end close, reviewing financial packages, preparing intercompany journal entries, managing tax and audit calendars, reviewing international payments, and acting as the local community leader in India for the CFO organization to drive team culture.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with local accountants in foreign entities for timely monthly financial reporting and daily operations.
• Manage the international month-end close across EMEA, Australia, and India, including financial package reviews and reconciliations.
• Review international payments and secure approvals for bank disbursements.
• Oversee international tax, audit, and regulatory compliance calendars to ensure adherence to local and international regulations.
• Implement intercompany and multi-book modules in the accounting system and settle intercompany transactions.
• Support international tax structure compliance and transfer pricing documentation.
• Maintain relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.
• Act as the local community leader for the CFO organization in India.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with exposure to international operations and multi-entity environments.
• Experience in cost-plus calculations.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
• Knowledge of US GAAP, local statutory reporting, and international tax structures.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Strong time management and attention to detail for accurate execution.
• Experience working across regions and time zones in a fast-paced environment.
