C3 AI is hiring an Industry Solution Leader for Oil, Gas & Chemical, focusing on Refining and Chemical Asset Performance, in Bengaluru, Karnataka. C3 AI is an enterprise AI application software company providing integrated products like the C3 Agentic AI Platform, C3 AI applications, and C3 Generative AI. In this role, you will combine deep industry and engineering expertise with end-to-end ownership of customer solutions. You will work closely with customer operations, engineering, maintenance, and executive teams, while leading cross-functional groups including data scientists, Forward Deployed Engineers, and product teams. A normal day involves understanding customer operations, identifying high-value opportunities, defining technical solutions, challenging assumptions, and driving projects through design, deployment, validation, and scale to achieve measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own overall solution strategy, technical direction, and delivery outcomes from problem definition to production.
• Serve as the primary customer-facing domain expert and solution leader for customer engagements.
• Identify and quantify high-impact business opportunities in equipment reliability, maintenance, and process optimization.
• Translate complex operational challenges into tractable AI and software problems with clear success criteria.
• Lead cross-functional teams including Forward Deployed Engineers, data scientists, and product managers.
• Partner with customer engineering, operations, and executive teams to validate solution performance.
• Support sales teams with opportunity assessment, defining customer problems, and deployment strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations, reliability, maintenance, or industrial technology.
• Deep experience in asset-intensive industries such as oil and gas, chemicals, or petrochemicals.
• Demonstrated experience solving complex operational problems and improving equipment reliability or yield.
• Strong understanding of industrial equipment, manufacturing processes, process controls, and maintenance practices.
• Experience working with industrial data including sensor, time-series, and maintenance history data.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex, customer-facing technical engagements and work with diverse stakeholders.

Who should apply
