Senior Integration Engineer

As a Senior Integration Engineer at Legion, you will focus on developing and maintaining integration and automation solutions for workforce management customers. Your daily routine involves designing and implementing scalable integration architectures connecting Legion with enterprise systems like HR, POS, and payroll, using tools like Workato and building secure REST APIs. You will engage in design collaborations, conduct peer code reviews, troubleshoot production issues, and collaborate with core and production engineering teams. This role requires working an overnight shift from 2230 to 0730 hours, participating in an on-call rotation, and potentially working outside normal business hours.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable integration architectures connecting Legion with enterprise systems.
• Design, build, and test integrations using Workato and develop secure REST APIs.
• Engage with architects and engineers for design collaboration, code reviews, and testing.
• Identify, report, and prioritize product bugs while troubleshooting production issues with backend teams.
• Mentor junior engineers, share expertise, and contribute to internal technical documentation.
• Participate in overnight shifts, on-call rotations, and work outside normal business hours.

Requirements

• 7+ years of business, information, solution, or technical architecture experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant STEM field.
• 3+ years of experience with event-driven architecture and microservices.
• 2+ years of experience using AWS technologies such as AWS CDK, CloudFormation, S3, ECS, EKS, and EC2.
• Demonstrated technical expertise in integration protocols including HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SFTP, SOAP, REST, JMS, and JDBC.
• Proficiency with Core Java and relational databases, SQL, and JDBC.
• Experience using Linux/Unix environments and CI/CD processes.

Good to have

• Workforce management integration experience.
• Experience with integration platforms such as Workato, SAP BTP Integration Suite, Dell Boomi, Jitterbit, or SnapLogic.
• Technical consulting experience.
• Experience working with Docker and other isolation technologies.
• Experience integrating external applications end-to-end such as Workday or SAP.
