As a Benefits Analyst at GitLab in Bangalore, you will handle day-to-day benefits operations in India and support global benefits administration alongside a Senior Benefits Analyst. GitLab is an intelligent orchestration platform for DevSecOps that helps organizations improve developer productivity and security. In your daily work, you will manage benefits onboarding, billing, reporting, audits, and tier-one team-member inquiries. You will also plan and host benefits events at the Bangalore hub, collaborate with brokers and vendors, reconcile data with Payroll and Finance, and analyze utilization trends. Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day administration for India benefits, including enrollment, billing, reporting, audits, and issue resolution.
- Review data from multiple sources, research discrepancies, and recommend next steps.
- Work with brokers and vendors on daily operations and assist with renewals and implementations.
- Plan, host, and manage benefits events at the Bangalore hub.
- Partner with Payroll, Finance, and People Operations on billing reconciliation and compliance processes.
- Resolve tier 1 employee benefits inquiries and explain moderately complex topics clearly.
- Analyze benefits utilization and cost data to prepare summaries and recommendations.
- Maintain documentation and recommend process improvements, including the responsible use of AI tools.
Requirements
- Experience supporting benefits administration, including enrollment, reporting, and audits.
- Experience working with benefits brokers or vendors.
- Experience supporting benefits in more than one country.
- Working knowledge of core benefits concepts such as medical, dental, vision, life, and disability.
- Experience using an HRIS, benefits administration platform, or operational tools with strong data attention to detail.
- Intermediate or stronger Excel or Google Sheets skills, including VLOOKUPs, filters, and pivot tables.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills to explain benefits topics and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Ability to be based in Bangalore with periodic office presence and flexibility for cross-time zone collaboration.
