Energy Exemplar, a fast-growing global leader in energy market simulation software like PLEXOS and Aurora, is looking for a Lead Energy Market Analyst in its Support Division located in Pune. The company empowers transformative energy decisions, helping stakeholders worldwide plan for a sustainable energy future through advanced modeling technology. In this role, you will be part of a collaborative global team dedicated to customer success and innovation. A normal day involves leading a team of analysts, providing advanced technical support to global clients, troubleshooting SaaS and desktop issues, collaborating with developers, delivering client training, and communicating market trends. You will work across shifts, starting with the 1 PM to 10 PM IST schedule.
Responsibilities
- Master the software portfolio to an advanced level and lead a team of Energy Market Analysts.
- Provide technical support to global customers and track support cases from start to finish.
- Resolve client issues related to SaaS, Cloud, and Desktop versions while coordinating with developers.
- Deliver onsite and web-based client trainings, and maintain training materials and user documentation.
- Produce educational videos, articles, and useful tools for software users.
- Keep up-to-date with power market news, trends, and developments.
- Support account management with client retention calls, visits, tradeshows, and conferences.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in power markets, power systems, or power plant operations.
- At least 2 years of experience with people management responsibility.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of fundamental energy market analysis and electric utility resource planning.
- Working knowledge of SaaS products and experience troubleshooting cloud issues.
- Experience with database management languages like VBA, Python, and SQL.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, Applied Math, Physics, or a related field.

- Degree or certificate specializing in Power Markets.
- Experience with power market production cost and expansion planning models.
