As a Motion Designer at Sarvam AI in Bengaluru, you will shape how the brand behaves in motion rather than just animating a single logo. You will define the core motion language, build reusable timing and transition systems, and craft end-to-end films for product announcements, model launches, and research drops. A normal day involves bringing the brand to life across marketing films, web animations, UI micro-interactions, and visualising conversational voice agents across multiple Indian languages. You will collaborate closely with design, marketing, product, and engineering teams, using AI tools in your workflow and ensuring that motion principles translate seamlessly into live digital surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Define and document reusable motion language including timing, easing, entrances, and transitions for the brand.
• Concept, storyboard, animate, edit, and deliver end-to-end films for model launches, product releases, and brand events.
• Animate web interfaces, handle scroll behavior, and build UI micro-interactions for live product surfaces.
• Hand off design work cleanly to engineering using formats like Lottie, Rive, sprite sequences, or precise specifications.
• Solve unique visual communication challenges, such as representing conversational AI and voice agents across Indian languages.
• Integrate AI tools into the motion pipeline for generative video, pre-visualization, rotoscoping, and variation.
• Collaborate across design, marketing, product, research, and founders under tight launch timelines.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in motion design at a studio or in-house team.
• Strong portfolio or reel demonstrating both narrative work and assets that shipped inside actual products or websites.
• Deep proficiency in After Effects, including shape layers, expressions, and proper rigging.
• Solid editing capabilities in Premiere or Resolve.
• Working knowledge of Figma for motion integration within design systems.
• Competency in Illustrator and Photoshop for asset creation and cleanup.
• Strong foundational understanding of timing, weight, staging, anticipation, and type behavior in motion.

Good to have

• Proficiency in 3D tools like Blender or Cinema 4D for abstract systems and product visualization.
• Experience with real-time or code-based motion frameworks such as Rive, three.js, GLSL, TouchDesigner, or Houdini.
• Skills in sound design and audio mixing to complement visual motion.
• Experience animating Indic typography like Devanagari, Tamil, or Kannada without distorting letterforms.
