In this Mumbai-based role reporting to the Director of Operations Governance, you will collaborate with regional teams and leadership to drive operational excellence. A normal day involves managing governance and controls, supporting site assurance activities, monitoring operational risks, coordinating drills, and ensuring regulatory compliance across data centre sites. You will also help develop consistent operational practices, advise on new site builds, and build expertise in risk management, business continuity, and emergency response to enable rapid regional expansion.

Responsibilities

• Manage data centre operational excellence, governance, and controls.
• Support the development and implementation of consistent operational practices across sites.
• Assist with internal, external, client, certification, and insurer assurance activities.
• Coordinate and undertake Severity 1 drills for data centre sites and track improvements.
• Monitor and support site teams with business continuity, emergency response, and resiliency planning.
• Assess and track operational risks while working with site teams on mitigation strategies.
• Support operations teams in understanding regulatory, statutory, and compliance obligations.

Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent professional experience in operations, engineering, risk, compliance, governance, quality, or related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in operational governance, assurance, compliance, risk management, or operational excellence.
• Experience working within a critical infrastructure, data centre, engineering, utilities, facilities management, or high-reliability operational environment.
• Strong understanding of operational risk and control principles.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse complex operational issues and identify systemic risks and improvement opportunities.
• Ability to travel regularly across operational sites within the APAC region.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, attention to detail, and ability to lead cross-functional groups.
