As a Product Manager for Model APIs, you will act as the crucial link between research and the market. You will manage how developers and enterprises use Sarvam's models while feeding user insights back into future model development. Your responsibilities include overseeing the API surface—covering specifications, packaging, and production performance—and helping define model roadmaps, priorities, and capabilities. A typical day involves collaborating with research, engineering, and leadership teams, analyzing usage data, defining quality standards, and shaping release plans for speech, language, and multimodal APIs.

Responsibilities

• Own the product surface for Sarvam's model APIs across speech, language, and multimodal.
• Shape model roadmaps alongside research leads using usage evidence and customer signal.
• Define and maintain quality standards for accuracy, latency, cost per call, and robustness.
• Own evaluation as a product, including benchmark suites and testing methods.
• Turn developer feedback into concrete model and API requirements.
• Partner with infra and platform teams on rollout, capacity, and monitoring.
• Drive end-to-end release planning, launches, and migration paths.

Requirements

• 3+ years building AI/ML products, developer platforms, or APIs.
• Working fluency with the model lifecycle from data and training to evaluation and deployment.
• Strong analytical instincts and comfort with data-driven decision making.
• Sound judgment on trade-offs between quality, latency, and cost.
• Ability to work closely with researchers and earn their trust.

Good to have

• Experience with speech or LLM APIs and their governing metrics.
• Track record shipping and maintaining a public or enterprise-facing API.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, or ML tooling for analysis.
• Exposure to Indian language AI or multilingual systems.
