Waymo, an autonomous driving technology company that began as the Google Self-Driving Car Project in 2009, is hiring a Program Manager, Vendor Service Delivery Lead for its Hyderabad location. The company builds the Waymo Driver to improve mobility and save lives through fully autonomous ride-hail services and vehicle platforms. You will work within the Driver Understanding Software Quality & Experiences Operations (DUSQE Ops) team, specifically the Vendor Service Delivery & Strategy group. A normal day in this role involves managing large vendor delivery programs, tracking performance against SLAs and KPIs, handling workforce and budget planning, standardizing vendor processes, and communicating delivery statuses to stakeholders while mitigating operational risks.
Responsibilities
- Drive outcomes for large and complex vendor delivery programs across multiple functions by setting goals, priorities, and OKRs.
- Improve vendor service delivery through process simplification, standardization, and automation.
- Lead forecasting, workforce and budget planning, and plan-to-actuals spend monitoring while holding partners accountable to SLAs, KPIs, and budgets.
- Define priorities and resource allocation for vendor partners, providing delivery oversight and operational performance reporting.
- Communicate delivery status to stakeholders to ensure achievement of customer-facing SLAs and operational targets.
- Anticipate timeline and deliverable risks, proactively developing mitigation and contingency strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, a technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of experience managing complex, tech-enabled operations with cross-functional partners.
- Experience in directing multiple scaled vendor-supported operations running concurrently.
- Experience building and leading forecasting, workforce and budget planning, and spend monitoring processes.
- Willingness and flexibility to work non-standard hours to collaborate with US and other regional teams.
- Ability to thrive in a high ambiguity and dynamic environment.
Good to have
- Experience working with fast-paced emerging technologies, with SWQ, AI, or Data Operations being a plus.
- Experience scaling vendor operations and bringing immature operations to maturity.
- Strong data analysis and technical skills to work with engineers across multiple disciplines.
- Proficiency in SQL and data visualization to identify root causes of operational bottlenecks.
- Experience working in a multi-geography environment with US-based teams.
