As a Lead Site Reliability Engineer at Zenoti in Hyderabad, you will steer the reliability, performance, and availability of the company's non-database cloud platform, focusing on web applications, APIs, analytics, and reporting systems. Zenoti builds comprehensive cloud software for the global beauty and wellness sector, empowering thousands of businesses with online bookings, POS, and CRM tools. In your day-to-day work, you will define service level objectives, oversee application observability, lead incident response and blameless postmortems, and drive capacity planning. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams to review service architectures for resilience, improve deployment pipelines, automate operational toil using Python and Infrastructure as Code, and mentor engineers to elevate overall system performance and technical standards.

Responsibilities

• Own the reliability, availability, performance, and scalability of web applications, APIs, and analytics workloads.
• Define SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets for application components and drive their adoption across teams.
• Lead application observability including APM, distributed tracing, log aggregation, and actionable alerting.
• Manage incident response, triage, root cause analysis, and blameless postmortems for application-tier issues.
• Drive capacity planning, load testing, autoscaling, and cost-efficiency of Azure-hosted cloud infrastructure.
• Review architecture and design of new services for resilience, fault tolerance, and operability.
• Automate operational workflows and toil using Python and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Bicep.

Requirements

• 12+ years of overall experience in Software Engineering.
• 4+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or production operations of web and API-based systems.
• Strong hands-on experience with public cloud, preferably Azure services like AKS, VMs, and Application Gateway.
• Deep understanding of operating and troubleshooting web applications and REST APIs in production.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, New Relic, or Prometheus.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and build structure across tools like Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
• Solid experience in Python or a similar scripting language for automation tasks.

Good to have

• Configuration management experience with Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Experience supporting analytics or reporting platforms like Tableau administration and ETL jobs.
• Working knowledge of cloud security principles and secrets management.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
