AlphaSense is seeking a Senior Risk Analyst to help build, shape, and mature its security risk management program. In this role, you will design and implement a quantitative-leaning risk framework spanning information security, AI, and operational risk. A normal day involves establishing risk identification methodologies, owning the enterprise risk register as a live tool, leveraging AI tools to analyze risk data and monitor threats, and producing executive-ready risk intelligence. You will also support the third-party risk management function and collaborate closely with engineering, legal, and business stakeholders. This is a hands-on, greenfield opportunity for someone eager to define an innovative, AI-native risk management blueprint rather than just maintain an existing program.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement a structured risk management program covering risk taxonomy, scoring methodology, and escalation thresholds.
- Build and maintain the enterprise risk register as a living operational tool with documented owners and remediation timelines.
- Leverage AI tools to monitor threat intelligence, analyze risk patterns, and automate risk review workflows.
- Support the TPRM function by contributing to vendor risk assessments, scoring, and finding documentation.
- Identify and assess AI-related risks such as model bias, data privacy, and agentic system behavior.
- Produce clear, executive-ready risk reports and dashboards that translate technical findings into business impact.
- Provide cross-functional risk and control guidance to engineering, legal, and product stakeholders.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in GRC, information security, risk management, or IT audit.
- Experience working in a SaaS or cloud-native environment.
- Strong understanding of security and compliance frameworks including SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST CSF 2.0, and CIS Controls.
- Working knowledge of ISO 42001 and NIST AI RMF.
- AI-native mindset with practical experience using LLMs, agents, and automation for substantive risk analysis.
