As a Business Analyst II at AlphaSense, you will join the newly formed Content Strategy, Planning and Analysis team within the Content organization. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Product, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Operations, and Revenue to support the integration and strategy of structured and unstructured content. A normal day for a Business Analyst II involves conducting due diligence, managing content requests, analyzing complex data to build dashboards, addressing ad hoc reporting needs, and identifying internal process improvement opportunities to drive value for enterprise users.

Responsibilities

• Conduct due diligence and comparative analysis for content sources and partnerships.
• Address ad hoc requests for data analysis, usage, readership, and coverage details.
• Investigate and respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders and vendors.
• Run data analysis to build dashboards and reporting in collaboration with BI functions.
• Track, process, and manage content requests in ProductBoard and generate presentations.
• Track industry trends, source content sets, and compile competitive intelligence.
• Support internal process improvement opportunities through gap analysis and workflows.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 or more years experience in business intelligence, data analysis, and due diligence.
• Background in consulting management, financial, and corporate services industries.
• Critical thinker with attention to detail and ability to build effective presentations.
• Strong analytical skills to identify patterns from complex data and produce conclusions.
• Experience with data manipulation in SQL, Python, or R, and visualization tools.
• Exceptional experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Google Workspace.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively under time pressure.

Good to have

• Domain knowledge across buy-side/sell-side, investment banking, PE, VC, and consulting.
• Subject-matter expertise with content feeds, metadata, and data delivery types.
• Proactive self-starter with strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Bachelor's Degree in information systems, statistics, computer science, or business administration.
• Experience with Product Development frameworks like Agile or process improvement like Six Sigma.
