As a Senior Solutions Architect at MongoDB in Mumbai, you will join the Pre-Sales organization to help drive company growth through strong technical alignment with the platform and customer needs. MongoDB builds a unified data platform designed for the AI era, featuring the cloud-native MongoDB Atlas, empowering organizations to modernize legacy workloads and innovate. In this hybrid role, your team will consist of seasoned technical sales professionals, software architects, and developers dedicated to customer success. A normal day involves partnering with sales executives to help customers solve business problems, guiding users to design reliable and scalable systems, conducting technical discovery, delivering presentations, handling demos, and serving as a trusted advisor to everyone from startups to large enterprise IT organizations. You will evaluate complex scenarios, design scalable infrastructure, foster customer relationships, and engage in continuous learning across modern data architectures, cloud ecosystems, and cutting-edge generative AI technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable and performant applications, systems, and infrastructure leveraging MongoDB for large software projects.
• Guide customers on architecture patterns and optimization strategies while communicating business value to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with sales teams on account planning, opportunity prioritization, and pipeline generation strategies.
• Take ownership of technical aspects including technical discovery, demos, proof of value, presentations, sizing, and documentation.
• Proactively generate demand within the sales territory through technical initiatives, industry trade shows, and marketing events.
• Foster strong customer relationships, build champions, and ensure customer satisfaction and success.
• Relay field feedback to the product team and proactively mentor other Solutions Consulting team members.

Requirements

• Ideally 8 to 11 years of related experience in a customer facing role, with 5 to 7 years in pre-sales with enterprise software.
• Minimum of 3 years experience with modern scripting languages and/or popular programming languages in a professional capacity.
• Experience designing with scalable and highly available distributed systems in the cloud and on-premises.
• Demonstrated ability to work with customers to review complex architecture of existing applications and provide improvement guidance.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills to convey complex technical and business concepts clearly.
• Ability to strategize with sales teams and provide recommendations to drive multi-threaded account strategies.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Good to have

• Experience selling databases and/or deploying applications with major cloud providers.
• Experience with database programming, data models, data engineering, or AI/ML projects.
• Experience transforming legacy systems and platforms into modern, scalable, and efficient technology stacks.
• Understanding of popular sales methodologies or frameworks such as MEDDPICC or Command of the Message.
• A MongoDB Certification or a Cloud Provider Certification.
