The Systems Engineering team is currently looking for a Senior SRE/DevOps Engineer to keep their real-time, high-throughput ad-serving platform fast, available, and running continuously on GCP and Kubernetes. In this role, you will treat reliability as a software problem by measuring performance, engineering robust solutions, and automating manual tasks. A normal day involves defining service level objectives, designing fault-tolerant cloud infrastructure, building advanced observability tools, leading incident responses, and collaborating with backend and data teams to ensure architecture can handle heavy real-world traffic smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Define, measure, and uphold SLOs and error budgets for critical services.
- Design and operate highly available infrastructure on GCP and Kubernetes.
- Build observability across metrics, logs, tracing, and alerting.
- Lead incident response and conduct blameless postmortems.
- Reduce operational toil by writing automation tools in Go, Python, or Rust.
- Handle capacity planning, performance tuning, and cost efficiency.
- Partner with product, backend, and data teams on production readiness.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience keeping large-scale cloud-native systems reliable.
- Strong production experience with Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes (GKE).
- Practical background in SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and incident management.
- Software development skills in Go, Python, Rust, or similar languages.
- Infrastructure-as-code experience using Terraform and cloud APIs.
- Familiarity with observability tools like Grafana, VictoriaLogs, and PagerDuty.
- Experience with CI/CD and GitOps tooling such as Argo CD and GitHub Actions.
