Dialpad is an AI platform designed to resolve customer issues in real time across various digital channels and voice. As a Sr. Software Engineer on the Integrations team at the Bengaluru office, you will focus on building and leading the design of key native integrations that link Dialpad with external systems such as CRMs, ticketing tools, and workforce management platforms. In this hybrid role, your normal day will involve translating business needs into robust technical solutions, writing architectural design documents, developing backend services and APIs, debugging complex production issues, and collaborating closely with product leaders and engineering teammates. You will also help shape the 6 to 12 month technical direction for your functional area and provide mentorship to junior engineers while working with modern technologies like Python, Vue.js, Redis, and Google Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical design, development, maintenance, and reliability of native integrations.
• Build integrations with SaaS platforms like Zendesk, HubSpot, Salesforce, and Google Workspace.
• Deliver Agentic AI-compatible integrations to automate customer workflows.
• Write architectural design, specification, and implementation documents.
• Develop scalable backend services, APIs, webhooks, data transfer flows, and UI components.
• Debug complex production issues and turn learnings into durable fixes.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience as a software engineer.
• Experience owning backend, full-stack, platform, or integration systems in production.
• Experience with an object-oriented programming language, particularly Python or JavaScript.
• Experience building integrations, APIs, webhooks, event-driven, or distributed systems.
• Understanding of OAuth, permission models, API rate limits, webhooks, and idempotency.
• Strong testing, debugging, and troubleshooting skills across distributed systems.
• Effective communication skills for writing design documents and keeping stakeholders aligned.

Good to have

• Agentic AI experience or strong interest in building AI-compatible product workflows.
• Usage of AI coding assistants like Claude or Gemini for coding tasks.
