Yext, an enterprise agentic marketing platform provider, is hiring a Team Lead, International Accounting for its Hyderabad team. This senior, hands-on role sits within the International Accounting team and reports to the Sr. Accounting Manager, International Accounting. The person in this position will take ownership of statutory accounting, regulatory filings, and financial reporting for specific international entities, while guiding junior staff on intercompany and payroll accounting. A typical workday involves managing statutory audits, reconciling Local GAAP against US GAAP, reviewing financial statements, processing journal entries, collaborating with HR and payroll teams, and driving automation and process improvements. Team members also handle large data volumes in Excel and support leadership with ad-hoc reporting and special projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee statutory accounting, reporting, and filings for assigned international entities under Local GAAP.
• Perform and review reconciliations between Local GAAP and US GAAP for multiple corporate entities.
• Coordinate with statutory auditors, lead audit timelines, and review supporting schedules for financial statements.
• Review intercompany transactions, settlements, and team-prepared payroll journal entries and reconciliations.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Coach, review, and support Staff Accountants with daily tasks and escalations.
• Drive process standardization, automation, and data analysis across the accounting team.

Requirements

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 6+ years of post-qualification experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, or Local GAAP with audit and statutory reporting experience.
• Prior experience in coaching, reviewing, or managing the work of junior team members.
• Proficiency in analyzing large-scale data and handling MS Office tools including Excel.
• Ability to work cross-functionally, solve problems independently, and manage shifting priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work shift hours to align with US working hours during critical financial close periods.

Good to have

• Experience handling statutory reporting and audits within a multinational, GCC, or shared services setting.
• Familiarity with financial and enterprise systems like NetSuite, Coupa, Floqast, or Tableau.
• Previous background in overseeing intercompany or payroll accounting operations.
