WPP Media, an AI-driven media operating unit of WPP, is seeking an Associate Director, Sports & Entertainment for its team in Mumbai, India. WPP Media combines media, data, and partnerships through its pioneering agentic marketing platform, WPP Open, to help clients deliver transformational growth and creative personalisation at scale. In this high-intensity role within the Content team, you will work on one of India's largest and most diverse FMCG portfolios at the intersection of brands, entertainment, and popular culture. A normal day involves identifying and building meaningful partnerships across Bollywood, regional cinema, OTT platforms, and streaming content. You will translate brand briefs into compelling ideas, manage complex campaigns from opportunity identification through production and amplification, build strong relationships with studios and creators, and conduct post-campaign evaluations to ensure creative integrity and brand visibility.

Responsibilities

• Identify and curate upcoming films, OTT shows, talent, and entertainment properties based on brand needs.
• Translate brand briefs into compelling Film and OTT partnership ideas that integrate authentically.
• Lead projects end-to-end across negotiations, creative development, production, approvals, and amplification.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with production houses, studios, OTT platforms, and talent ecosystems.
• Protect creative integrity while ensuring clear brand visibility during production and post-production.
• Track campaign performance and collaborate with planning teams to maximize impact.
• Build comprehensive campaign reports and post-campaign evaluations linked to initial objectives.

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience across entertainment marketing, branded content, film partnerships, OTT partnerships, studios, or production houses.
• Graduate degree mandatory.
• Strong understanding of the Indian film, streaming, and entertainment ecosystem.
• Strong creative judgement combined with the ability to evaluate opportunities strategically and commercially.
• Excellent project-management skills for managing complex, long-gestation campaigns with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of social media, digital marketing, content marketing, and media amplification.

Good to have

• Prior experience working on film integrations, movie marketing partnerships, OTT associations, or branded entertainment.
• Postgraduate qualification.
• Proficiency in at least one Indian regional language.
• Hands-on experience in pre and post-production.
