The Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting team is currently looking for a Finance Associate to join their group in Bangalore. In this role, you will help manage technical accounting matters and support merger and acquisition transactions. A normal day in this position involves drafting complete financial statements from scratch, managing compliance with statutory accounting frameworks, handling complex accounting treatments for financial instruments, and assisting with reporting platform enhancements. You will work closely with other team members to ensure accurate financial reporting and smooth system implementations while navigating the ever-evolving cryptocurrency landscape.
Responsibilities
- Prepare complete end-to-end USGAAP and IFRS financial statements from scratch
- Draft balance sheets, income statements, notes to accounts, and disclosures
- Ensure compliance with applicable statutory accounting frameworks
- Handle complex accounting treatments and technical disclosures for financial products
- Support M&A accounting activities and business combinations
- Assist with reporting platform enhancements and system implementations
Requirements
- 2 to 4+ years of relevant experience in technical accounting and financial reporting
- Strong background in financial services with understanding of financial instruments
- Demonstrated ability to prepare full financial statements independently
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Big 4 experience with client advisory or technical accounting consulting focus
Good to have
- Prior experience working with or implementing the Workiva platform
- Prior exposure to accounting advisory services
- Experience with M&A transaction support
- Working knowledge of financial platform implementations
