Telnyx is building a new local Enterprise Sales Pod in Bangalore, consisting of an Account Executive and a Forward Deployed Engineer, to expand its enterprise business in the region. Telnyx is an industry leader that architects and amplifies a private global multi-cloud IP network and brings hyperlocal edge technology to users via intuitive APIs, transforming global connectivity and automating manual processes. As a Forward Deployed Engineer at Telnyx, you will embed directly with enterprise customers to design architectures, execute proofs of concept, and ship production systems running on Telnyx global infrastructure, including voice, messaging, AI, and wireless. A normal day involves leading technical discovery, building custom implementations, deploying and operating model gateways, wiring production observability, and collaborating closely with your enterprise account partner to drive successful customer outcomes from whiteboard to go-live.

Responsibilities

• Embed with enterprise customers to understand communications workflows, AI use cases, and integration challenges.
• Build and deploy custom implementations including AI Voice Assistants, WebRTC, and Telnyx APIs.
• Run open-weight LLMs in customer environments and deploy LiteLLM as the model gateway.
• Wire production observability, metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerting for everything shipped.
• Lead technical discovery, POCs, pilots, and production launches from whiteboard to go-live.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to share field insights from India and shape the roadmap.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues alongside customer engineering teams.

Requirements

• CS degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years building and shipping production software with hands-on debugging and on-call experience.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Python, Node.js/TypeScript, and Go.
• Practical understanding of production model constraints like rate limits, timeouts, streaming, and token accounting.
• Experience deploying containerized services on Kubernetes with secrets management and configuration.
• Hands-on experience wiring observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Graylog, or ELK.
• High-concurrency experience working with Kafka, message queues, or event streams at scale.
• Demonstrated ability to build APIs from scratch, including OpenAPI specs, auth, rate limiting, and versioning.

Good to have

• Consulting background with hands-on production software experience.
• Exposure to SIP, WebRTC, or real-time voice and messaging systems.
