The IT engineer at Suki in Bengaluru manages US daytime IT operations as part of the company's 24/7 follow-the-sun IT organization, working independently during PST hours. Suki builds advanced AI-powered voice solutions that reduce physician burnout and make healthcare technology invisible and assistive. A normal day in this role involves serving as the primary administrator for Okta and Google Workspace, executing onboarding and offboarding workflows, managing AI tooling seats, supporting SOC2 and HIPAA compliance controls via Vanta, triaging SIEM alerts, and coordinating with the US-based Managed Service Provider for physical hardware logistics while ensuring contractual SLAs are met.

Responsibilities

• Manage access requests, password resets, and MFA troubleshooting for US employees using Okta and Google Workspace.
• Execute SLA-driven employee onboarding and offboarding workflows integrating BambooHR, Okta, Jira, and Torii.
• Support the Security team by executing continuous SOC2, HIPAA, and HITRUST controls via Vanta and triaging SIEM alerts.
• Manage the global macOS and Windows fleet using Hexnode MDM and Apple Business Manager.
• Act as the primary bridge between Suki employees and the US-based MSP by triaging incoming helpdesk tickets.
• Participate in a daily Golden Hour synchronous handoff with the India IT Lead to transition open tickets.
• Act as the first responder for critical US IT alerts during PST hours.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in IT Support or Systems Administration, supporting US-based tech or startup teams.
• Deep, hands-on administrative experience with Okta, Google Workspace, MDM tools like Hexnode, Jira, and Cisco Meraki.
• Familiarity with HRIS-driven IT workflows and SaaS management platforms like Torii.
• Hands-on experience with compliance monitoring tools such as Vanta and endpoint security agents like Crowdstrike.
• Proven ability to work independently during PST hours and make sound technical decisions without local supervision.
• Comfort enforcing strict SOC2 and HITRUST policies.

Good to have

• Experience working alongside or managing external IT vendors and Managed Service Providers.
