The Lead Solution Architect role is a senior technical position based in Mumbai, India, focused on driving digital transformation across complex enterprise technology landscapes. In this role, you will act as the definitive technical authority, designing, integrating, and scaling ecosystems that span E-commerce platforms, CRMs, and Content Management Systems. A normal day involves bridging business strategy with technical execution, leading multi-disciplinary squads, designing cloud-native and headless solutions, engaging with C-level stakeholders, and resolving integration or performance bottlenecks.
Responsibilities
- Define and own end-to-end technical architecture for digital platforms by integrating E-commerce engines, CMS, and CRM systems.
- Champion modern architectural paradigms including MACH principles and composable commerce strategies.
- Serve as the primary architectural leader on large-scale enterprise e-commerce implementations guiding teams from discovery to post-go-live.
- Oversee technical delivery of multi-disciplinary onshore and offshore squads to ensure coding standards and CI/CD best practices.
- Act as a strategic advisor to C-level executives and business stakeholders by translating complex architectures into business value.
- Lead architecture workshops, discovery sessions, and vendor evaluations through RFP and RFI processes.
- Estimate technical scope, resource requirements, and timelines for cross-platform initiatives.
Requirements
- Minimum of 13 to 15 years of progressive IT experience in software engineering, technical consulting, and enterprise system architecture.
- Hands-on architectural experience delivering at least 3 to 4 large-scale, enterprise-level E-commerce projects.
- Deep architectural knowledge in at least two pillars: E-commerce, CRM, and CMS/DXP, with working knowledge of the third.
- Extensive experience designing event-driven architectures and API gateways using middleware or iPaaS tools.
- Strong proficiency in architecting scalable infrastructure on AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks and backend microservices alongside secure system design and GDPR/CCPA compliance.
- Exceptional consultative skills with a track record of managing client expectations and high emotional intelligence.
